I am researching both Tisdales and Jones in Newton and Marshall COunty MS.

William Jones (b 1783 in GA) moved with wife Phalba/falba Hutchens aftrer 1813 from Morgan County GA to Holy Springs MS.
I am looking for information to lock doen the move. I have them in Holly Springs in 1850, but need data before that. They may have been in Newton County before settling in Marshall county.

Jesse Pleasant Tisdale (1830 Born AL, d-1902 in LA) lived in Newton County and was married 3 times, son of
Peter Corbin Tisdale (b-1800 VA-d 1848 Newton County MS). I have more data but am looking ot residence and dates.

This site made me cry knowing that my GGGGGrandpa Rev Thomas Maxwell
had such an influence on the constitution of this great nation.
Just so you know,I am related through thomas Maxwell's son Joel Maxwell
who had Joel Allan Maxwell who married Mary Ann Edwards had my great grandmother
